Every upcoming launch gets a hype score from 0 to 100. It's a plain sum of the lines below, each with a cap. The lines are always shown next to the score, so you can see exactly where every point came from.
The lines
Project account
up to 20
Followers of the project's own X account, on a log scale (300 followers is 0, 100k is full). Accounts under 30 days old get half; under 7 days, nothing.
First-hour likes
up to 20
Likes, reposts and replies of the main announcement, read about an hour after it was posted.
Accounts posting
up to 15
How many different accounts posted about the launch.
Tracked KOLs
up to 25
How many of them are on our list of tracked traders and KOLs. Five or more gives the full 25.
Website
up to 12
Does the site open, is there real content, is there an app, demo or docs. We read only the homepage, once a day, and respect robots.txt.
Dev history
up to 8
Known once the token exists: did the developer's past tokens reach $1M.
Red flags
−15 each
Never pushes the score below 0. A flagged launch never appears in picks, and its flags are always shown.
The score is frozen an hour after launch. That's the number we compare with the result.
Red flags
A presale that asks you to send SOL to a wallet
"Connect your wallet to get whitelisted"
"Send some, get more back" giveaways
"Drop your address" airdrops
Guaranteed returns
An account under 7 days old with a big following
The same announcement text posted by unrelated accounts
Different contract addresses going around for the same launch
When a contract counts as verified
Copycat tokens copy everything: the ticker, the name, even the project's X link. So we mark a contract verified only when:
the project's own X account posted it, or
the token links the project's account or site, someone else posted that exact address for this launch, and no other token with the ticker links the project too.
Anything else stays "not verified", and we don't show the address as the project's.
How the scores did
A day after each launch we log its market cap 15 minutes, 1 hour and 24 hours in, and its 24 hour peak. Here's the median peak by score.
